In 2012, Michael Szalontay co-founded Flashpoint as a venture capital business with his close university friend, Alex Konoplyasty.
Michael spent most of his childhood in Budapest, where he attended ELTE Apáczai Csere János High School and Dormitory. He later earned an advanced BA in Economics with honors from MSIIR. After university, he began his career as an Audit Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, followed by roles as an Analyst and later Associate in the investment banking department of Renaissance Capital. He then held Vice President and Director roles at Renaissance Private Equity (now Elbrus Capital).
Michael is also a CFA charterholder.
